Day 59

Cafeteria spinach & mushroom omelette for breakfast.

Garden burger and tots for lunch.

Chicken cutlet (chicken from Buddy's), mashed taters and spinach sauteed in evoo/garlic for dinner.

Had a McDonald's hot fudge sundae after class. I know it's wrong but so much yum for only 300 calories...

Day 58

I made an omelette with mushrooms and spinach this morning. I never make my own omelettes because they end up looking like this, but it tasted pretty good. In retrospect it could've used a little less garlic and some cheese.

I had a mixed greens salad and Carbonara at the Whole Foods world headquarters downtown for lunch.

Sushi at Sushi Nini for dinner.

Miso Soup
Vegetable and Shrimp Tempura
Gyoza (Fried Dumplings)
Sushi & Sashimi Combo
Spicy Tuna Roll
Banana Tempura & Green Tea Ice Cream

Day 57

A couple over-easy eggs (one from Vital Farms, one from manager's farm) and toast for breakfast.

Fish tacos (grilled tilapia) from Serrano's for lunch.

Burger, fries and shake from Mighty Fine for dinner.

Day 56

A little improvement over the past week. Standard eggwich for breakfast and tofu stirfry for dinner. Zorba's for lunch, though, which is almost certainly not gyro meat I can feel good about. I also completely forgot to take a picture, but fortunately I'm a creature of habit and took a picture of the same thing a long time ago - before I even started blogging about what I eat. Yes, I am a freak. That is a small salad, gyro meat (which is basically mystery meat; typically lamb, beef, or a blend.) w/ tzatziki sauce, hummus, tabbouleh and rice.

Day 55

Egg and sausage biscuit for breakfast, chicken mole enchiladas for lunch, Chipotle for dinner. What a diet!

Day 54

Not proud of my behavior this week, but here it is. Veggie omelette for breakfast. Pita w/ hummus for a snack, chili con queso, wings and fries at Plucker's for lunch, and whole wheat spagetti w/ simple sauce for dinner. I absolutely love Plucker's wings but I feel tremendously guilty eating them. It's a tough life.

Day 53

Standard eggwich for breakfast.

I'm in training at work this week so eating out with people each day. That's my lame rationalization for (over)eating at Rudy's; not to be confused with Ruby's. I had pork loin, brisket and sausage along with baked beans, cole slaw, several slices of white bread and vanilla pudding with bananas and nilla wafers.

Falafel from a box for dinner, hummus and tabbouleh courtesy of Tom's Tabooley. I think I'll try to make falafel from scratch some day soon. I used to make it when I worked at a deli so I know it's not that hard.

One of two falafel sandwiches I had for dinner

Day 52

Standard eggwich for breakfast, seafood pho at Pho Viet for lunch, tofu stir-fry for dinner. Fruit cup for morning snack and yogurt with granola for afternoon snack. Small bowl of Kettle chips with dinner.

Day 51

Standard eggwich for breakfast.

Grilled cheese, Kettle chips and Amy's soup for lunch (and a little bit of leftover General Tso's chicken).

I had a bowl of leftover hot and sour soup before dinner (see Day 50), then a couple Applegate Farms hot dogs (with minced onion, dill relish, ketchup, mustard and locally made--and very pricey--sauerkraut from Straight from the Vine for dinner). I had about a cup of white rice w/ soy sauce after the hot dogs.

Day 50

I get pretty consistently out of control on weekends and this one was no different.

Skipped breakfast today, had lunch at the Blanton Art Museum cafe (had to go there for a class). Lunch was pretty great, though. Caprese on grilled foccacia and a baby greens salad with cranberries and walnuts.

Ordered Chinese delivery from Four Seasons for dinner. Started with a PuPu Platter (split with the roomie, didn't go THAT crazy) and Hot and Sour soup; main dish was General Tso's chicken.

Day 49

I went a bit crazy today. First I brought assorted donuts into work and ate a lemon-filled one before I even thought of taken a picture. In reality that could have been my breakfast. However I followed it up with two eggs over-easy, potatoes and a biscuit with gravy from the cafeteria for "breakfast".

I went home for a reasonable lunch: a grilled cheese sandwich with chips and Amy's soup.

But then blew it out with dinner, getting a huge tray of meat and topping it off with warm peach cobbler and Bluebell vanilla ice cream. On the bright side I went to Ruby's BBQ so the brisket (at least) was natural.

Brisket, Pulled Pork, Sausage, Slaw, Beans & Bread

Day 48

The roomie made a large batch of oatmeal (not instant) so I ate a little bit of that for breakfast.

Went a little overboard for lunch, though. Carnitas burrito with the works from Chipotle.

...and then sushi for dinner at Sushi Sake. It's pricey there but you get big chunks of fish. (Incidentally I usually go out to eat with my roommate and we split the sushi, so don't think I'm always eating all this myself. Except in this case for the banana tempura and ice cream, which I did eat all by myself.

Miso Soup

Sashimi combo

"Spicy Carlos Roll" (not on the menu)
Banana Tempura w/ Vanilla Ice Cream
