Day 114

I made a mushroom/asparagus frittata for breakfast today. Not great but not bad. I had some intestinal issues throughout the day so I didn't really eat 'meals' per se. As such I didn't photograph everything I ate. I hope it wasn't the risotto or the frittata that disrupted my guts because I have leftovers of both.

1. Mushroom asparagus frittata (image 1)
2. Another piece of frittata
3. Pita w/ hummus (image 2)
4. Campbell's chunky chicken noodle soup
5. 2 hamburgers (Niman Ranch) (image 3)
6. Edamame

Day 113

Breakfast: The last of the frittata w/ chorizo

Lunch: A Mediterranean plate from Tom's Tabooley

Dinner: Risotto with mushrooms and asparagus. (My first ever attempt at risotto - not too shabby). I know risotto is really a side dish, but I wasn't that hungry and didn't cook this until fairly late so that was it.

Day 112

I had an egg & potato taco at work for breakfast. Usually I feel a little guilty when I eat eggs at work because I don't expect them to come from a humane source, but today I noticed a sign in the cafeteria saying that all their eggs do come from humane sources. The same sign said most of their seafood is from sustainable sources as well, so that's cool too.

I had a cheeseburger, fries and strawberry shake at Mighty Fine for lunch. Quality food, not healthy.

Just chili and rice for dinner. Niman Ranch.

Day 108

I had a piece of frittata for breakfast, a bowl of chili for lunch, another piece of fritta for an afternoon snack (as well as some chips and salsa) and salad with leftover penne for dinner. Some bbq Kettle chips for evening snack. I've adopted a pretty bad snacking/dessert habit in the past six weeks or so that I really need to get under control. I only post meals here; rest assured I'm eating a lot more.

Sunday, April 17, 2011

Day 107

Breakfast: I made a DELICIOUS frittata with onion, potato and chorizo from Wheatsville Co-op (made w/ pork from Niman Ranch), eggs from Vital Farms. I made a lot so I'll be eating this all week.

Lunch: I had a piece of frittata and some leftover chicken tortilla soup

Dinner: Penne w/ roasted grape tomatoes and a salad

Saturday, April 16, 2011

Day 106

Breakfast: Cascadian Farm Raisin Bran (milk from Organic Valley)

Lunch: Homemade chicken tortilla soup (chicken from Buddy's)

Dinner: Amy's Mattar Paneer and a salad. I should note that the salad has feta cheese from Athenos in it. I bought it out of force of habit, not even thinking about whether it's organic, local or ethical.
