My eggs for the last couple days did not come from Vital Farms. I bought a six pack of Central Market Organic's cage free, organic eggs from H.E.B. rather than drive all the way to the co-op. I don't know if they meet the same standards as the local, humane options such as Vital Farms but I'm sure they're at least better than straight up industrial eggs. I was also out of muffins so I used regular bread.
For lunch I had a couple "sirloin, egg and cheese" tacos from Taco Deli. Not only are these the best breakfast tacos I've ever had but I learned today that the eggs and beef come from local, sustainable sources. I was told that both came via "Farm to Table" or "Farm to Market" (I can't remember).
I didn't go sustainable or healthy for dinner, opting to have a filet at Logan's Roadhouse. At least I only ate about half of the dessert, so there was some slight improvement in my usual behavior.
